Celebrate culture, community, and soccer with the Cambridge-Somerville Black Business Network this summer!

Our Afro-Caribbean Night Marketplace Series will bring together local Black-owned businesses, music, food, art, and international soccer watch parties across Cambridge for a vibrant evening experience filled with connection and celebration.

In celebration of Black History Month, the Cambridge-Somerville Black Business Network (CSBBN), in partnership with the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, Cambridge Local First, Eastern Bank, and the Harvard Square Business Association, hosted the Show Your Love for Black-Owned Businesses Marketplace Pop-Up in Harvard Square.

The CSBBN Holiday Marketplace brought together community, culture, and commerce in a vibrant celebration of local Black-owned businesses in Cambridge, welcoming over 1,250 visitors and featuring more than 20 registered vendors. Hosted by the Cambridge–Somerville Black Business Network (CSBBN), the event created a welcoming space for residents and visitors to shop local and support small businesses during the holiday season.

On November 14, 2025, The CEE Summit for Solutions brought together leaders, innovators, and community advocates under the theme “Uniting Voices, Building Systems, Driving Change.” Highlights included inspiring conversations, hands-on collaborative sessions, and strategy-focused working groups, all centered on strengthening equitable small business ecosystems.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Cambridge-Somerville Black Business Network (CSBBN), in collaboration with the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) and Cambridge Local First, hosted a Disparity Study Follow-Up & Community Conversation at the Cambridge Public Library – Central Square Branch.

On Saturday, September 27, the Cambridge-Somerville Black Business Network (CSBBN) had the honor of being recognized as a 2025 Black Biz Ball Awardee. The evening brought together inspiring entrepreneurs, community leaders, and organizations from across the region to celebrate Black excellence, resilience, and impact.

On August 19, 2025, the Cambridge-Somerville Black Business Network (CSBBN) celebrated Black Business Month and its 5-year anniversary at 1175 Cambridge Street in Cambridge. The event brought together entrepreneurs, advocates, and allies to reflect on CSBBN’s journey since its founding in 2020 and to discuss the steps needed for Black-owned businesses to thrive.

On June 28 and 29, the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority welcomed the community to the Small Business Marketplace, a free two-day event celebrating local small businesses and creative community spirit. Visitors enjoyed shopping from local vendors, wine tastings by Marzae Wine, fun arts and crafts for kids, and a seed giveaway and potting activity.
